It was late 2019 that the Council of Africa Nazarene University empowered me to start a Foundation with the sole purpose of supporting the Mission of ANU financially from the USA.  Our co-founder and present Secretary/Treasurer of the Board, David Haynes and I went to work in this volunteer effort of love, knowing the Holy Spirit had led us to do so.

Little did we know that just a few months later, the greatest disruption in the history of Christian Education, COVID-19, would wreak havoc on churches and colleges around the world.  It was God’s providence that got us started in our work before all of that happened.

Today, we humbly acknowledge God’s Hand has been upon ANU Foundation!  We are a 501c3 Non-Profit Corporation registered in the state of Tennessee and recognized for tax-deductible giving by the IRS.  We have processed well over $1.5 million USD since our inception, begun a US-based Endowment Fund, held multiple fund-raising events, and built relationships with donors across the nation.  

Our Board of Directors are a committed group of ANU supporters from across the country, and believe in our mission.  We are so grateful for their guidance and investment of time, talent and treasure.

I have the privilege in my “day job” of serving the great people of historic Nashville First Church of the Nazarene as senior pastor, and have their blessing to lead ANU Foundation on my personal time.
